In the footsteps of French Royalty

On a sunny Friday morning, the Desert Rat and I decided to get the train out to Versailles. Apparently so did several thousand other tourists and we were greeted with queues that looked like were going to take a few hours to get into the palace.

Thus, we made a decision to skip the inside bits and spend the day exploring the vast gardens of the Vesailles Palace. We had lanch sitting by the canal and walked for miles through the gardens, getting some landscaping ideas for our garden back home. A lovely day was had by all!
