So our time here in Libya is almost over - we will be at the airport this time in 2 days. It is quite amazing that we first came here on our reccy trip 3 years ago. The Desert Rat moved here in April 2007 and I followed three months later. It has been an amazing time, and we feel humbled by the the experience of not only living in such a unique place but by all the travel we have had the opportunity to undertake. We hope that the travels and adventures will continue and so plan to keep putting new postings on The Camel Diaries. In fact, we are heading off to the South Island of New Zealand at the end of January, so watch this space..
But in the meantime, Ma Salaama (Good bye) to Tripoli.....

Well done guys, you've completed a pretty incredible chapter of your lives. I'm glad you enjoyed your time in Trips despite the various challenges. Libs has some pretty amazing sites...the southern desert region rates in my top 5 places I've visited anywhere in the world. Enjoy your champers on the way out. And...remember to hold on to your glasses when you land.
See you on the outside.
Mr G
